WELCOME TO A SLICE OF HEAVEN

MEET CAPTAIN Gary

Who is Gary Sapp? To the everyday person who has the opportunity to meet Gary, he will seem like an affable person who is much like your brother, or father depending upon your age. To those of us looking for the “right” guide, Gary is a a resource of bass fishing knowledge! Some might even say, if you’re talking bassfishing, you’re talking Gary’s second language!

He has spent a lifetime fishing the nation’s best fisheries in search of trophy largemouth bass! Over this time, he became a student of bass fishing, and has developed some proven methods of catching bass when the bass are not easily caught! From his early days fishing tournaments on the Ohio River, Gary developed a knack of always finishing high on the leader board in all the major tournaments! Much to the chagrin of his fellow competitors, when Gary pulled up in the parking lot, it was a given that he was one of the men to beat that day! Gary still fishes bass tournaments, but from November through April, he calls Lake Okeechobee home. He calls it, his personal “slice of heaven”! He knows that Okeechobee is a special place, and when he takes a client out, his focus is getting them on fish, and getting the fish in the boat.

While fishing, be prepared to enjoy one of your best days on the water, whether the big girls bite or not! Gary’s expansive knowledge about the mannerisms of the Florida strain of largemouth will pay huge dividends when the bite slows, but rest easy, you will catch fish and lots of them! Also be prepared to talk fishing with a person who has a lifetime of stories, and knowledge of both fishing, and life. He knows that you’re there to enjoy a fishing trip, and effortlessly, he can guide you in both the ways of the Big O, and what you want out of the trip. Whether you like to fish artificial lures, or like to tempt the bass with a live shiner, Gary has the ability to put you where you need to be to catch fish……and plenty of them! You will experience a special day on the Big “O”, and make memories to last a lifetime. Then, you know why Gary calls Lake Okeechobee his, and at the end of the trip, your “slice of heaven”.
